Rival Consoles
Rival Consoles is the moniker of British electronic composer Ryan Lee West, whose sound uniquely blends ambient, shoegaze, minimal techno, and cinematic electronic textures, often using analogue synths, pedals, and degraded processes. Since his first EPs in 2007, released under the name Aparatec, West has built a reputation for emotionally rich, experimental productions through albums like Howl (2015), Persona (2018), Articulation (2020), and Now Is (2022). He has also scored for contemporary dance and television, including Black Mirror. With each release, he continues to stretch boundaries between electronic and organic sound worlds.
